Make a Mini Boo Sensory Bin
A playful, hands-on alternative to the usual boo bag
Want to share a Halloween treat that feels a little more special? Make a mini boo sensory bin! It turns a handful of fun goodies into a tiny activity kids can scoop, explore, and enjoy. It is simple to assemble, easy to personalize, and a memorable twist on a traditional boo bag.
What you will need: links provided with underlined text
Small Tray: Small Plastic Tray
Halloween Slime Charms: Halloween Vase Filler
Small Scoops: Small Clear Scoops
Clear Front Pouch Bag: Mylar Bags
Play Sand: Orange Flexisand
Halloween Cookie Cutters: Halloween Cookie Cutters
Link note: I’m not an Amazon affiliate. These are just examples I’ve found over the years, before I had a 3D printer.
Put it together
Add a shallow layer of play sand to the bag, then tuck in the mini shovel and a few Halloween slime charms. Lay the clear-front pouch in the tray so the colorful goodies show through. Add a little note with your name or a cheerful “You’ve been booed!” message, and it is ready to deliver.
Make it your own
Choose charms in a favorite Halloween theme, add a ribbon or sticker, or swap in another small scoopable filler. Keep the bin compact so it is easy to gift and fun to explore. If young children will play with it, choose age-appropriate pieces and supervise sensory play; small charms can be a choking hazard.
Would you give a mini sensory bin or a classic boo bag?
